WEST AFRICAN CIVIL SOCIETY CONVENING ON IFFs Winning the Fight Against Illicit Financial Flows from Africa: What’s Next? A focus on West Africa

TrustAfrica has organized a two-day meeting in Dakar, Senegal centred on the challenges posed by illicit financial flows from Africa, with particular focus on the West African region. It was a great opportunity for civil society to discuss the subject and to work together with other critical stakeholders for viable options to mitigate the dangers illicit financial flows pose to economic development in the region.

The opening ceremony of this important programme was chaired by Mr. Oumar Diallo, the representative of the Minister of Economy and Finance of Senegal. The meeting also recorded a good presence of local, regional and international media. TrustAfrica Board Chair Coumba Touré and Executive Director Dr. Ebrima Sall expressed appreciation to partners and participants for the quality of the discussions.
