TrustAfrica commits to lead $2.7 million fund for research on business and investment in Africa
African initiative builds knowledge to fuel enterprise and drive pro-poor growth
NEW YORK, September 23, 2010—TrustAfrica’s commitment to strengthening private enterprise and fostering pro-poor growth throughout Africa was featured on stage today at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting. Over the next three years, TrustAfrica will provide $2.7 million for pioneering research on ways to stimulate the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and ensure that prosperity is broadly shared.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia—The Centre for Citizens’ Participation in the African Union (CCP-AU), in collaboration with many of its partners, namely the Institute for Security Studies, Oxfam International, TrustAfrica, the Open Society Initiative for East Africa and others, organised a dialogue on the current relationships between Africa and international justice institutions and the role that different stakeholders should play to promote peace and justice.
