DAKAR ‐ Plusieurs études montrent que des méthodes novatrices d’apprentissage chez les jeunes peuvent avoir un impact très positif sur la capacité des élèves à réussir à l’école et dans les activités de la  vie. Cependant, dans de nombreuses régions du continent, les systèmes éducatifs en place ne permettent pas aux enfants d’accéder à l’information dont ils ont besoin.

DAKAR ‐ Multiple studies have shown that early learning approaches can have a strong positive impact on the ability of school children to succeed in school and in life pursuits. However, in many parts of the  continent, children are unable to access the information they need under existing education systems.

The new foundation, TrustAfrica, has just completed a five-year development phase within the Ford Foundation, using the time to explore its potential role, develop ideas, and make initial grants. With a growing track record behind it, and with new democratic governments and an increased focus on regional partnerships and development on the continent, both organizations believe the time is right for TrustAfrica to become a fully independent institution.
