As TrustAfrica marks two decades of advancing African-led solutions, the institution is convening a unique gathering of some of the continent’s most original, creative and forward-looking minds under the theme “Africa Reimagining Futures.”

At a time when Africa is confronting complex challenges and unprecedented opportunities, this convening seeks to create a space for bold thinking beyond conventional frameworks. Bringing together writers, artists, technologists, futurists, innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, cultural practitioners and other unconventional thinkers, the event will explore new ways of imagining Africa’s future.

Rather than focusing solely on existing problems, the gathering will ask a fundamental question: What futures do Africans want to build, and how can we begin shaping them today?

Participants will engage in conversations that challenge assumptions, disrupt outdated paradigms and inspire fresh approaches to economic transformation, social progress, cultural renewal, technological innovation and democratic governance. By creating a platform for dialogue across disciplines and generations, the convening aims to foster new ideas, unexpected collaborations and transformative possibilities for the continent.

For twenty years, TrustAfrica has championed African agency, homegrown knowledge and innovative responses to the continent’s most pressing challenges. This event is part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to amplifying African voices and supporting visionary thinking that can contribute to a more just, prosperous and inclusive future.
