From 25–26 June 2026 in Accra, Ghana, Rouguietou Khady Sow, Programme Officer for African Philanthropy at TrustAfrica, participated in the Ghana Civil Society Forum 2026, held under the theme “Rethinking Partnerships for Democratic Consolidation and Inclusive Development.” As a panelist in the high-level discussion on “Rethinking CSO Sustainability in the Current Context,” she shared a regional philanthropy perspective on the evolving sustainability landscape, highlighting the importance of mobilizing locally rooted resources, strengthening resilient civil society ecosystems, and fostering strategic partnerships that can sustain long-term impact across Africa.
Rouguietou Khady Sow also delivered TrustAfrica’s Solidarity Remarks, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to strengthening civil society, advancing African philanthropy, and supporting partnerships that promote democratic governance and inclusive development. The Forum brought together leaders and practitioners from civil society, government, academia, philanthropy, and development partner organizations, including H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, providing a valuable platform to reflect on the future of civic action and collaborative responses to Africa’s development challenges.
