The Investment Climate and Business Environment (ICBE) Research Fund is holding a forum on October 11, 2013 at the Hotel des Almadies in Dakar, Senegal to disseminate research related to investment and the business environment in Senegal, and also bring together the key stakeholders in the investment community.
The Forum is organized by the University Cheikh Ante Diop (UCAD), TrustAfrica and the International Development Research Center (IDRC), and will be presided by Senegal’s Minister of Planning, Abdoulaye Balde and Mr. Diène Farba Sarr, Minister of Promotion of Investments and Partnerships. The ICBE Research Fund is a project of TrustAfrica and IDRC which seeks to address some of the main obstacles to promoting a healthy business climate in Africa. Through the work of outstanding researchers at African universities, the idea was to develop research and policy options around innovative ways to promote the investment climate and business environment.
The ICBE Research Fund has been in existence for 7 years and during that time has made 116 grants. You can find some of the results of this research in our Publications database under “ICBE Reports” and “Policy Briefs.”
