Mark your calendars for our first electrifying session on 5 March 2025 at 2:00 PM GMT as we set the stage for the African Social Movements Baraza, which will take place in Accra, Ghana, from 14 to 16 April 2025, under the theme: The Power of Movements.

This is no ordinary moment. We stand at a historic crossroads where inequality, injustice, human rights, democracy, global governance, and climate crises demand urgent solutions. Movements have always been the heartbeat of transformation—from Y’en a Marre in Senegal to Fees Must Fall in South Africa, EndSARS in Nigeria, and GenZ organizing in Kenya. Across Africa and beyond, movements drive change, amplify citizens’ voices, and shape the future.

Now, more than ever, collective organizing is our greatest tool for confronting today’s pressing issues and forging a world that reflects our shared dreams.
