Gladys Madara serves a Program Officer within TrustAfrica, with over a decade of experience advancing civil society strengthening, economic justice and inclusive development across Africa. Her work focuses on programme design, grant-making and strategic engagement with civil society actors, donors and regional stakeholders. She has played a leading role in coordinating a number of initiatives including the African Civil Society Support Initiative, a continental programme that has strengthened the resilience , sustainability and effectiveness of CSOs in Africa, the Stop the Bleeding Campaign a continental movement to curb Illicit Financial Flows from Africa among others.

Prior to TrustAfrica, Gladys worked with youth led networks in Zimbabwe , advancing peacebuilding , conflict transformation and gender equality initiatives. She brings strong expertise in programme management, monitoring and evaluation and participatory approaches to development .Gladys Holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and an Honours degree in Monitoring and Evaluation.
