Joshua Kweikuma Quaye is a dynamic youth development and communications specialist with over eight years of experience in designing and leading innovative programs that empower young people across Africa. His expertise spans digital communications, media relations, partnership development, and advocacy, with a strong focus on amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, particularly women and youth.

Before joining TrustAfrica, Joshua served as the Youth Programs and Engagement Lead at the African Union’s Women, Gender and Youth Directorate, where he led the design and implementation of strategies to mainstream youth participation and promote inclusivity across AU institutions. Notably, he oversaw the Citizen Engagement and Capacity Strengthening Program and played a pivotal role in advancing the 1 Million Next Level Initiative, aligning these efforts with Agenda 2063 and ensuring that youth perspectives were integrated into continental policy and decision-making processes.

In addition to his programmatic work, Joshua has successfully led high-impact communication strategies that significantly enhanced visibility and influence for organizations in the development, telecommunications, and energy sectors.

He is recognized for his ability to foster effective collaboration with diverse partners and stakeholders, building inclusive platforms that enable young people to shape policies and lead transformative initiatives.

Joshua holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Media, Arts and Communication – GIJ
