TrustAfrica is proud to be a partner and active participant in the 30th International Conference hosted by the Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) at the University of the Western Cape. Themed “Land, Life & Society,” this year’s gathering comes at a pivotal moment as stakeholders across the continent explore the intersections of land reform, climate justice, social equity, and food systems to shape more just and sustainable futures.
As a pan-African foundation committed to equitable development, governance, and African philanthropy, TrustAfrica is contributing to key dialogues that center local voices, agency, and equity in the pursuit of land justice.
Our team is actively engaging in the conference through the following contributions:
- Bethule Nyamambi – Showcasing the role of African philanthropy and movement building in advancing equitable land reform
- Rachel Gyaabah – Moderating a session focused on grassroots agency and women’s leadership in land struggles
- Beatrice Makwenda – Participating in discussions on philanthropic financing and land governance
