Focus Area:
The Zimbabwe Alliance’s grants, convenings, capacity building and technical support have fostered a vibrant civil society where partners are empowered to design innovative and coordinated responses that have amplified the voices of marginalized groups, strengthened the capacity of citizens to mobilize around critical national issues, and engaged with policymakers and built regional and international solidarity in pursuit of a better Zimbabwe for all.

ZimAlliance contributed significantly to the attainment of a more democratic constitution that the country adopted in 2013 following years of concerted advocacy by civil society.

Strengthened community organizing ZimAlliance has contributed significantly to strengthening community organizing and enhancing civic engagement at the local level working with community
National Citizens Movement Building
ZimAlliance has facilitated critical convenings of civic actors and social movements at key national moments, including the National Citizens’ Conventions, the African Social Movements Baraza, and the launch of the Citizens’ Manifesto in 2016
