Contribution of Informal Businesses to Private Sector Development: A Case Study of the Central Region of Liberia

As a consequence of the civil war, the socio-economic situation of Liberians is deplorable while formal sector economic activities are far below the pre-war status. The role of the IBs in the private sector seemed to be prominent because of the lack of large-scale investment due to the high security risk created by the war.
