The Public Prosecution versus Hisséne Habré: Summary of the eighth hearing held on Monday, 14 September 2015

Proceedings commenced at 9:10 am and the hearing of witness Mike Dottridge was continued. He
gave a summary of his testimony from the previous Friday, whereupon the court thanked him and
gave asked the prosecution to proceed. The latter raised the point that it would like to focus the
debate on those facts supplied by the witness that incriminated the defendant. Following questions
from the prosecution, the lawyers of victims and then the defence team were asked to crossexamine the witness. After hearing Dottridge, the court called the next witness, Mahamat Hassan
Abakar, to the stand.
