The Public Prosecution versus Hisséne HABRE: SUMMARY OF THE THIRTY-THIRD HEARING HELD ON 27 OCTOBER 2015
Testimonies at today’s court session focused on reprisals against populations in the
South, particularly senior officials. The first witness, a victim called Ngabouli Mallah,
testified during the first two sessions in the morning. He was head of operations at Chad’s
national sugar company (SONASUT) and was arrested and tortured in 1984 at Sarh and
later transferred to Ndjamena. The second witness, Djokota Prosper Kladoumngue,
testified during the first afternoon session as an indirect victim; his uncle was allegedly
executed in Koumra in 1984. During the second session, the third witness testified about
the arrest and disappearance of his father in Moundou in 1984.
