Michael Ato Yorke is a finance, grants, compliance, and governance professional with more than sixteen years of experience supporting international development organizations across Africa to strengthen financial stewardship, accountability, and institutional effectiveness. A Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA, ACMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Ghana, and Master of Business Administration he has managed and overseen more than Eighty Million United States dollars in donor and institutional funding from organizations including the Mastercard Foundation, the European Union (EU), the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). His expertise spans financial management, grant-making and partner oversight, donor compliance, audit and assurance, enterprise risk management, financial systems strengthening, and organizational governance.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked with leading international development organizations to provide strategic and operational leadership in sectors including youth employment, green and social enterprise development, agricultural and technical and vocational education, institutional governance, and civil society strengthening. Passionate about African-led development, he believes that strong institutions, sound governance, and responsible stewardship of resources are fundamental to achieving sustainable impact and advancing social and economic transformation across the continent.
