Richard Anane Adortse
Richard has over eight years of expertise and professional experience in designing and implementing Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Systems/Frameworks, Performance Measurement, Data Management, MEL Capacity Building, Project Design and Planning, Implementation, Management, and Coordination; and Design and Deployment of Surveys. I also specialize in designing and deploying social accountability tools such as development outcome indices, social audits, budget expenditure tracking tools, and analysis of national budget statements and economic policy.
Richard’s expertise spans various sectors including Natural Resource Governance and Agriculture, Democracy, Governance and Corruption, Education, Health, Election, Peace and Security, Economics Empowerment, and WASH. Amongst the clients provided services to are: the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD – Ghana), Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA), SEND GHANA, Africa Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, Partnership for Transparency Fund (PTF), Glico, and Enterprise Insurance Limited.
Before joining TrustAfrica, Richard served as the MEL team lead for the Ghana Center for Democratic Governance (CDD- Ghana) and SEND Ghana. In this capacity, Richard provided MEL technical support to several projects notable as the West Africa Democracy and Solidarity Network (WADEMOS) funded by Sida. WADEMOS is a Network comprising over 30 CSOs in the 15 ECOWAS States with the aim to deepen democratic norms and values and bush-back democratic back-sliding and eliminate extension of term limits; The People for Health Project (2017 – 2021 and funded by the USAID), led the Monitoring of Ghana COVID-19 National Vaccination Deployment Plan (2021- funded by Transparency International); and Fair4All (funded by Dutch MoFA) aimed at co-creating alternative business model for cocoa farmers to secure decent work and living wages for women.
Richard holds a Master of Science (MSc.) in Industrial Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana, Legon. Richard also obtained advanced Project Monitoring and Evaluation certification from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate from Oracle (USA) along with a couple of MEL certifications such as Outcome Harvesting, and training in quantitative and qualitative research.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I cherish spending time with family, enjoying the company of friends, and actively participating in Christian fellowship activities.
